Erin Abbott joined the UIndy women's lacrosse staff in the fall of 2017, serving as the Greyhounds' defensive coordinator while playing a large role in player development and recruiting.

Abbott takes over as the Hounds' top assistant after completing a standout career as a student-athlete at Division II-power Lindenwood University. She was a four-year all-conference performer and two-time All-American, leading the Lady Lions to three NCAA Championship semifinal appearances. She finished her collegiate career as the program's all-time leader in ground balls (174), draw controls (192) and caused turnovers (112).

"Coach Abbott brings a wealth of experience competing in multiple Final Fours during her time as a player," said Delaney. "Our goal for this program is to be an NCAA Tournament team and a National Championship contender, and I know her experience will help us get there."

Abbott was also a three-year team captain at Lindenwood. The Whitby, Ontario native was named All-America First Team by the IWLCA in both 2016 and 2017, while garnering RMAC Defensive Player of the Year accolades both seasons.
